The main loser in the war between Ukraine and Russia

Amir Ali Abolfath – Journalist:
Following the new US administration’s criticism of Ukraine, US President Donald Trump, in a rare statement, blamed the country’s authorities for starting the war.
The US President’s new statements indicate serious changes in the country’s policies towards Ukraine, which will have profound effects on Washington’s financial and military support for Kiev.
With the continued advance of Russian forces in eastern and southern Ukraine and the reduction of weapons stocks, Ukraine is in a critical situation. This is while Europe is also unable to support Kiev alone.
On the other hand, tensions in US-Ukrainian relations have increased, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has strongly criticized the US administration’s approach to negotiations with Russia.
The main losers are the Ukrainian people, who have lost both their land and their country is half-destroyed, while several million Ukrainians have either been forced to continue living in areas occupied by the Russians or have been forced to accept displacement abroad. All of this could not have happened if the former and current Ukrainian leaders had realized the West’s plan to trap Russia by victimizing Ukraine.
