The 29th of Farvardin (April 17), adorned with the glorious name of the Army and its commemoration, reminds us of the tribute paid to the valiant, self-sacrificing heroes and their epic struggles in the years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Army belongs to the great Islamic Revolution and a nation that builds civilizations, and it has always served the aspirations of the people and their ideal revolution. The brilliant victories of the heroic Islamic Republic of Iran Army across numerous battlefronts and diverse defensive arenas are manifestations of the pride and grandeur of the Iranian nation, ensuring security and sovereignty along the country’s land, sea, and air borders.
The Islamic Republic of Iran Army is one of the embodiments and pillars of national power. Relying on faithful and devout warriors and commanders, and with the sacrifice of tens of thousands of martyrs during the Sacred Defense era, it has forged an admirable and unforgettable legacy in the eyes of the nation and future generations.
The brave men of the proud Islamic Republic of Iran Army stood firm against the enemy’s aggression during the eight years of the Sacred Defense, shielding the nation with their knowledge, experience, and sacrifice. In times of peace, they have ensured the nation’s confidence and peace of mind through their competence and full readiness.
As I honor the courage and sacrifices of these gallant men, I congratulate all brave and faithful soldiers on the occasion of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Day. I pray to the Almighty for their increasing success in continuing to defend the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, the nation’s security, and territorial integrity—by adhering to the wise directives of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Khamenei, and through synergy with other military and law enforcement forces of the country.
