A regional meeting focusing on neighboring countries will be held in Mashhad

Vahid Jalalzadeh – Deputy for Consular, Parliamentary, and Iranian Expatriate Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran: The second series of regional meetings focusing on neighboring countries and target areas, aimed at strengthening and systematizing provincial diplomacy, will be held in Mashhad on October 21st and 22nd.
Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting with the Deputy Economic Governor of Khorasan Razavi Province, Vahid Jalalzadeh stated that one of President Pezeshkian’s key policies emphasizes taking seriously the role of provinces in governing the country. Therefore, in all meetings and provincial trips, he places special emphasis on governors and local officials to implement decentralization from Tehran. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also placed on its agenda the strengthening of provincial diplomacy in political and economic fields, as well as in consular affairs and public diplomacy with neighboring countries.
In this regard, regional meetings on provincial diplomacy were held in May of this year, hosted by Shiraz and Fars Province. Now, by God’s grace, we are on the eve of the second provincial diplomacy meeting, hosted by Mashhad and Khorasan Razavi Province, in which officials and managers related to the field of diplomacy from North Khorasan and South Khorasan provinces will also participate.
The second series of regional meetings focusing on neighboring countries and target areas, aimed at strengthening and systematizing provincial diplomacy, will be held in Mashhad on October 21st and 22nd.
This regional meeting will be attended by the governors of Khorasan Razavi, South Khorasan, and North Khorasan provinces, heads of the representative offices of the Islamic Republic in neighboring countries, a selection of elites, specialists, Iranian investors and entrepreneurs abroad, and with the participation of relevant organizations including provincial chambers of commerce, the Trade Promotion Organization, the Iranian Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance Organization, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, the Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Free Zones, and the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Iranian Expatriate Affairs, along with active participation of private sector representatives.
