Ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran in neighboring countries should help attract tourists

Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts: Our ambassadors in friendly and neighboring countries can help attract tourists to Iran.
Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, stated at the regional conference on provincial diplomacy in Mashhad that Iranian ambassadors in friendly and neighboring countries can assist in attracting tourists to Iran.
He mentioned that significant interest exists from tourists in five key regions: Central Asia and the Caucasus, Turkey, Pakistan, and the Persian Gulf region (from Iraq to Saudi Arabia).
“We expect our current target countries—China, India, and Russia—to assist us on the path to attracting tourists,” the minister added.
Amiri also announced that “All investors across Iran are permitted to build mixed-use complexes and undertake hotel construction within residential complexes and on upper floors.”
