60 percent of Iran’s needs can be met through provincial diplomacy

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan said: The expansion of provincial diplomacy and cross-border exchanges can meet over 60 percent of the country’s needs through the barter of goods.

Reza Amiri Moghaddam – the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan – speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the second regional Provincial Diplomacy conference in Mashhad, stated: The expansion of provincial diplomacy and cross-border exchanges can meet over 60 percent of the country’s needs through the barter of goods.

This approach, in addition to preventing currency outflow, will lead to the prosperity of exports, the strengthening of the private sector, and the establishment of sustainable economic relations with neighbors.

The high quality and competitive prices of Iranian goods, coupled with geographical proximity, have inclined Pakistani merchants towards purchasing from Iran.

Sanctions are no longer a serious obstacle to trade, and extensive interaction with neighboring countries can resolve many economic constraints.

Facilitating travel for Pakistani pilgrims to Mashhad by reducing visa and ticket costs can play an effective role in the economic and cultural growth of Khorasan Razavi.
