The ambassadors of Iran to a number of neighboring countries met with the Foreign Minister in Mashhad

Ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to countries in Central Asia, Russia, Pakistan, India, Iraq, and Afghanistan, who were present in Mashhad to attend the second regional Provincial Diplomacy conference, met with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city.

Ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Central Asian countries, Russia, Pakistan, India, Iraq, and Afghanistan – who were in Mashhad to attend the second regional Provincial Diplomacy Conference – met with Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the city.

The Foreign Minister, during this meeting, elaborated on current issues related to foreign policy and relations, particularly concerning neighboring countries, and emphasized the importance of pursuing the provincial diplomacy program as a practical step in line with the policy of good neighborliness.

Araghchi urged our country’s ambassadors to utilize the opportunity of the second regional Provincial Diplomacy conference being held in holy Mashhad to gain greater familiarity with the diverse economic-commercial capacities of the provinces of Khorasan Razavi, North Khorasan, and South Khorasan.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening ambassadors’ connections with relevant provincial authorities, particularly the Governorates, Chambers of Commerce, and Free Trade Zones in the eastern provinces, to remove obstacles and expand relations with neighboring countries to the east and northeast. He also highlighted the importance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs playing a regulatory, facilitative, and problem-solving role in the country’s foreign economic relations.
